Sr. Manager, Experience Brand Design

Job Summary

Splunk delivers world-class brand experiences, and as the Senior Manager, Experience Brand Design, you will be responsible for the design and development of creative assets for flagship events and global marketing campaigns. Reporting to the Creative Director, Design Studio, you will supervise a team dedicated to crafting outstanding visual and experiential content that brings our brand to life across all touchpoints. Collaborating closely with the content marketing team, events team, and key executive stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in driving creative excellence across both event and campaign design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of designers, production designers, animators, and other creatives, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Inspire the team to push creative boundaries and deliver high-quality work that aligns with Splunk's brand vision and strategic goals.
  • Be responsible for the development of campaign assets for global initiatives, including e-books, infographics, social media content, banner ads, demand generation kits, research articles, and thought leadership reports, ensuring consistency and creativity across all channels.
  • Steer the creative vision for flagship events such as .conf, .conf Go, GovSummit, and collaborative Splunk and Cisco events, ensuring the seamless execution of compelling keynotes, impactful in-person, print, and digital activations, and unique content experiences that align with Splunk's brand system and design principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, web, and brand story teams, to align creative solutions with business objectives. Ensure that all assets and campaigns are consistent, visually compelling, and strategically aligned across various platforms, effectively telling Splunk's brand story while driving impactful business results.
  • Champion experiential design principles by integrating structural design, motion graphics, wayfinding, and presentation design to elevate attendee engagement and enhance brand impact.
  • Partner with event agencies to craft and implement all facets of event architecture, including stage designs, opening videos, and key event details, ensuring a cohesive, immersive experience that stays true to Splunk’s brand standards and creative vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in art or design or associated field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of graphic design and event production experience working on a large SaaS/Tech brand either in-house (preferred) or agency.
  • Experience with coordinated campaign management and delivery of content/assets across multiple channels.
  • Thrives in a fast-pace work environment and can prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • A love of graphic design. Someone who is excited to explore art and find ways to bring our brand to life in a variety of experiences.
  • An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint and Google Slides.
  • A skilled knowledge of the latest design products including Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
  • Excellent communication skills and outstanding attention to detail.
  • The ability to work as a member of a team and has the focus to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • A portfolio of work examples that show your design talent.

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $160,000.00 - 220,000.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $144,000.00 - 198,000.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $129,600.00 - 178,200.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
