【業務内容】
  • 営業プロセスの技術評価段階を積極的に推進、リードし、営業/チャネルチームと連携して、当社のオブザーバビリティのサービスの主要な技術アドバイザー兼提唱者として活動
  • プレゼンテーション、デモンストレーション、技術的な営業活動の経験をお持ちの方、また、お客様の技術者や幹部に対して当社製品を紹介し、販売することができる方
  • 当社の技術、機能、ソリューション、アプリケーションに関するお客様からの技術的な質問に答えるとともに、当社の技術や製品の位置づけをビジネスユーザーと技術ユーザーの両方に明確に説明
  • 営業プロセスのすべての段階において、お客様の満足を得るために、担当アカウントのすべての技術的な問題を特定
  • 販売サイクルを通じて、お客様の技術スタッフ、リーダー、経営陣と良好な関係を築き、維持する
  • ウェブコンテンツの開発および拡大、マーケティングや営業と連携したサービスの価値提案、資料、営業手法の改善
  • オンサイト、ウェビナーセッションによる遠隔操作、コンファレンスやトレードショーなどのフィールドイベントで、お客様に製品やサービスを紹介

    【必須(MUST)】

    • 現場のObservability やDevOpsなどクラウドネイティブ環境の概念を理解し、実践している方(役割に関係なく)
    • マイクロサービスやサーバーレスアーキテクチャの経験をお持ちの方(Kubernetes、Docker、Serverless機能など)
    • バックエンド(Java、Python、Goなど)で2言語以上、フロントエンド(JavaScript、Kotlinなど)で1言語以上のプログラミング言語を快適に扱えるエンジニア/ソフトウェア開発経験をお持ちの方
    • Amazon Web Services(AWS)、Google Cloud、Microsoft Azureなどのパブリッククラウドでの構築や運用の経験をお持ちの方(認定資格があれば尚可)
    • 未経験の技術要件(言語、ライブラリ、プラットフォームなど)を素早くキャッチアップできる方
    • ネイティブレベルの日本語でのコミュニケーションが可能な方
    • 英語の読み書きができる方(翻訳ツール使用可)

    We are seeking a special pre-sales engineer to join our team in Japan as a Sales Engineer. In addition to requisite passion, skills and experience, comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment, you will have a measurable track record in building and managing successful organizations. As a member of our growing team, you will play a key role driving a significant share of revenue for Splunk.
    • Responsible for actively driving and leading the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in partnership with the sales/channels Team as the key technical advisor and advocate for our products and services
    • You also would be encouraged to have experience presenting, demonstrating and handling technical sales engagements as well as being able to present and sell our product to our customer’s technical and executive audience
    • Answer technical questions from customers regarding Splunk technology, features, solutions, applications as well as articulate Splunk technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
    • Identify all technical issues of your assigned accounts to assure complete customer happiness through all sales stages
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships throughout the sales cycle with our customer's technical staff, leaders and management
    • Develop and expand our web based content and work with marketing and sales to refine our service value proposition, literature as well as sales approach
    • Demonstrate Splunk products and services to customers on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Understanding and practice Site Reliability Engineering principles (regardless of role)
    • Experience working in engineering/software development, comfortable working with programming languages for backend (Java, Python, Go etc) at least 2 languages and for frontend (JavaScript, Kotlin etc) at least 1 language.
    • Experience working in building and operating in public clouds, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure (certification is preferred)
    • Experience with microservices and serverless architectures, for example Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless functions
    • Able to quickly catch up on technical requirements (languages, libraries, platforms, etc.) that you have no experience with.
    • Native level Japanese communication. Reading and writing in English (using a translation tool is allowed).
     
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience working as Pre-sales role like Sales Engineering that are customer facing
    • Understanding of OpenTelemetry, OpenCensus, Jaeger, Zipkin, Prometheus, other telemetry data platforms.
    • Experience selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant architectures
    • Experience with Android and iOS app development.
    • Prior experience with observability solutions (Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, OSS Stack etc).
