We are seeking highly motivated university students to join our team, Customer Managed Platform. As an intern, you will work on a real project (or a few) and have an opportunity to enjoy our dynamic, startup-like environment. You will get invaluable experience working with a globally distributed engineering team that develops and continually improves Splunk Enterprise, Splunk's core offering that collects and analyses high volumes of machine-generated data. You will work with team members in a variety of locations, so excellent team collaboration is important.

Working to support internal and external customer needs, you will collaborate with multi-functional teams, receive mentorship, and gain insight into our values-driven process. Our goal is both to support your growth and development while empowering you for a successful start to your career.
Responsibilities:
  • You will achieve goals set for you in the beginning of the internship by your mentor
  • You will have the opportunity to learn Splunk, both the product and the company
  • You will socialise with the other interns as well as full-timers
  • You will experience a fun environment at Splunk and enjoy your time learning new skills to better suit your goals
What we are looking for:
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux and/or Windows OSs. Linux is preferred
  • Have good knowledge of programming in C++ focusing in the backend
  • You have expertise in version control systems such as Git or similar
  • Bring strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Show your enthusiasm for solving interesting problems to the team
  • You enjoy collaborating with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to work with a set of hardworking and dedicated peers, all the way from engineering and QA to product management and customer support. Splunk thrives on disruption and diversity.
  • A constant stream of new things for you to learn and an opportunity for growth and mentorship. We believe in growing engineers through ownership and leadership opportunities. We also believe mentors help both sides of the equation.
  • A fun and collaborative environment with many exciting events from interacting with other interns to conversations with our executive leadership team.

How you should apply:

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and we encourage you to apply by submitting your resume as soon as you are ready.
What to expect during the interview process:
  • Once your application has been received, we will conduct an initial review of your resume. Status updates will be provided throughout the process.
  • If selected you will be taken through a three stage interview process where if you are successful you will be offered a position with us.
You’re eligible to apply if you:
  • Are actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, & Mathematics or a related technical field
  • Must be an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2025 - June 2026
