Software Engineer

We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Browser Real User Monitoring team within Splunk's Digital Experience Monitoring portfolio. We are passionate about building and maintaining tools that help customers understand how users interact with their applications - from frontend behavior to backend performance insights.

About the Role

You'll work on both the frontend and backend, ensuring smooth data collection, analysis, and visualization to improve digital experiences. You'll collaborate with designers and product managers to implement new features and optimize existing ones.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain modern, interactive UIs using React
  • Enhance and extend OpenTelemetry ingestion libraries for client-side monitoring
  • Work on session replay features for web and mobile applications
  • Design and build scalable backend services using Node.js, Java, or Go
  • Break down complex features into clear, actionable tasks
  • Create and maintain test suites to ensure code stability and maintainability
  • Collaborate with UX designers and PMs to align on user needs
  • Work within an automated CI/CD pipeline and structured release process

Who You Are

  • proven experience with React & TypeScript
  • Understanding of web performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field
  • Independent worker with a responsible approach to decision-making
  • Interest in solving technical challenges and learning new tools

Bonus Points For

  • 1+ year of backend development with Node.js, Java, or Go
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Playwright, Jest, or Cypress
  • Background in observability and performance monitoring

Location & Work Setup

  • Hybrid Model: Prague or Brno (20%) | Remote (80%)
  • Flexible working hours
  • On-call possible
