Role Summary
The Indexing and Storage team, part of our Data Platform division, focuses on managing the development and operations of the services supporting our core indexing and search functionalities. With a cutting-edge tech stack featuring Golang, C++, PostgreSQL, Terraform, and Kubernetes, across cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP, we manage PetaBytes of data for thousands of customers. Our team thrives on end-to-end ownership, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance for all cluster operations while enabling ingestion, indexing, and search elasticity at scale. What You'll Get to Do
- Build robust, fault-tolerant distributed systems in a multi-threaded/multi-process environment.
- Analyze and improve scalability of storing, routing, and searching data at scale.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in distributed systems, data pipelines, and multi-threaded performance.
- Mentor team members in performance, scalability, and quality strategies.
- Collaborate in a CI/CD development model for cloud-native deployments.
- Drive development, delivery, and ongoing engineering hygiene.
- Work closely with an amazing team and collaborate with a global engineering organization.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 8+ years of related experience with a technical Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience developing software using C++, Python, GoLang, or other object-oriented programming languages
- Proven experience crafting and building scalable software, with expertise in cloud environments and knowledge of continuous delivery, security practices, and performance optimization.
- Skilled in problem-solving, identifying performance bottlenecks, and resolving product outages.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment with multiple ongoing projects.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and related tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Experience with AWS, particularly in maintaining production environments using Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS, and S3.
- Familiarity with GCP or Azure cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Puppet and configuration management practices.

Base Pay: PLN 248,000.00 - 341,000.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate.
