Senior Engineering Manager, UI - Splunk Observability

Who are you?
A passionate and experienced UI Engineering Manager to lead a team of front-end engineers in building the future of Splunk Observability. You're a proven leader with a strong track record of delivering high-quality user interfaces for complex, data-driven applications. You're excited by the challenge of making observability data accessible and usable for everyone, and you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
What are you going to do?
  • Lead a high-performing team of front-end engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Own various pieces of  Splunk Observability user interface, ensuring it delivers a world-class experience that enables customers to gain deep insights into their systems.
  • Champion modern front-end technologies and best practices, advocating for scalable, maintainable, and accessible user interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other engineering teams to define and deliver on the product roadmap.
  • Plan and support career development for UI engineers.

Ideal Experience
  • Extensive experience leading and managing front-end engineering teams, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality user interfaces.
  • Deep understanding of modern front-end technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and experience with their application in complex, data-driven applications.
  • Experience with user-centered design principles and a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences.
  • Experience hiring and cultivating high-performing engineering teams.
  • Experience working within geographically distributed organizations.
  • Experience building and cultivating strong engineering practices and processes within a front-end development environment.
  • Consistent track record of delivering high performance, and high quality, accessible software systems.
  • Strong technical acumen, creativity, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for the needs of your team and users.
  • Experience with or strong interest in observability tools and concepts is a plus.

Base Pay Range

Poland

Base Pay: PLN 325,600.00 - 447,700.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
