Security Strategist (EMEA South)

Role:

Your main focus as a Security Strategist is on what's new and what’s next to stay ahead of customer, market and technology trends. Be part of a small team of technical and domain security subject matter experts that will identify and incubate emerging and strategic Security use cases and solutions that will unify, advance and expand the value of Splunk products for our EMEA South customers. You will work closely with theater partners, but report up through the Global organisation. Responsible for driving adoption and success metrics for emerging and incubation-stage security use cases and solutions for your assigned theater and region, while also fulfilling global responsibilities to help build, promote and advance the Splunk Security brand, product and GTM strategy. This role can be based in France, Italy, Spain or UAE.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine emerging security use cases for Splunk products that reflect priority customer challenges, market trends, the evolving threat landscape and outstanding business opportunities.
  • Develop and test new maturity models, white papers, programs, workshops, demos, POVs, enablement and thought leadership activities to showcase and accelerate adoption
  • Represent Splunk Security internally
  • Mentor security talent both within and across the SE and Solution Architect community at Splunk as we look to continue to increase the profile of security.
  • Partner with regional teams to localise strategy to region-specific sales plays, enablement, account targeting strategies and channel strategies with the technical sales and sales teams.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of technical sales, product or practitioner experience in the security industry.
  • Experience with modern security technologies and their place in an organisation's architecture, e.g., SIEM, SOAR, and UEBA.
  • Clear and concise communicator, building and communicating publicly to large audiences and one on one with senior leaders.
  • Experience in driving security sales cycles across EMEA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current threats, high-visibility security events
  • Familiarity with current security data sources spanning on-premises, hybrid, & multi-cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) including the security detection methodologies they offer.
  • Familiarity with common industry frameworks and concepts like MITRE ATT&CK, CSC CIS, LMKC, OTel, DORA, etc.
  • Willingness and ability to work across dispersed functions who are remote
  • Willingness to travel for industry and marketing events, customer and functional meetings
  • Local Language Fluency in addition to English.
