Role Summary

Are you an experienced Data Analyst from the SaaS domain, with proven expertise in turning quantitative and qualitative information into insights, and developing communication products that convey structured information to business users up to an executive level?
Are you methodical and programmatic and able to develop and manage regular communication cadences, combined with responsiveness to critical ad-hoc information requests?
If so, our role of SaaS Renewal Risk Manager is ideal for you.
As a member of the SaaS Renewals Risk Management team at Splunk, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a data-driven view of Renewal Risk across our global business.
Focus will be on conducting risk analyses for our top accounts, ensuring the completeness of Risk Management Plans, and developing reporting suites that enable stakeholders to effectively assess and prioritize risks.
Leveraging critical thinking and strong data analysis skills, you will also provide insightful recommendations to optimize our SaaS business operation

What you'll get to do

Maintains data-driven view of Renewal Risk for a minimum of 4 Quarters
Consolidates risk signals from Quantitative and Qualitative Sources, including:
  • Risks identified by Customer Success and Sales, tracked in the CRM (Salesforce)
  • Risks identified by Renewals Representatives, detailed in Renewal Forecast assets
  • Risk Signals from Data Science developed by our Experience Strategy and Insights team.
Monitors progress on Risk Resolution
  • Quantitatively, using reporting on progress/stale-dating of Risk Management Plans
  • Qualitatively, reviewing quality / completeness of Risk Management Plans
Develops reporting assets for stakeholders to understand and rank risk
Supports Renewals Management to prepare and conduct:
  • Renewal Readiness Inspection Cadences.
  • Risk Management Inspection Cadences
  • Facilitates meetings and other communication, including status reporting and meeting notes
Supports Renewals Leadership (and by extension Sales Leadership):
  • Identify priority candidates for Risk Reviews
  • Preparation assistance for review meetings including insights, recommendations, and visualizations
Exceptions Reporting on (Potential Unmanaged Risk)
  • Significant Risk Signals from Data Science not identified / managed as risk
  • Stale Dated Risk Management Plans
  • Identify poorly formed risk management plans (lacking specificity, ownership, etc) and inform via renewals leadership for Sales attention
Seeks process improvements, and works directly with team members to ensure processes are updated in real-time

Qualifications

Data Management & Analysis
  • Analytical background, using data and qualitative input to synthesize insights.
  • Self sufficient in data management and analytics - able to take large and disparate datasets and perform operations and analysis using standard tools like Excel, Tableau, SalesForce reporting suite.
  • Strong familiarity with Python, SQL preferred
  • Comfortable working with senior data analysts to describe needs for standardized and ad-hoc reporting from business systems
Communication Product Development
  • Deep experience with developing communication products for business stakeholders, including data visualization and dashboards
  • Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative information down to essentials for management and executive audiences
  • Eye for detail and aesthetics - ensuring accuracy and clarity in all outputs
Structured Program Management/Execution
  • Disciplined and independent in running communication cadences: maintaining awareness of all stakeholder needs and cadences, and ensuring that deliverables are updated and ready
  • Continuous improvement sensibility: actively seeking ways to make communications efficient and useful across a diverse set of teams and individuals
Influence and Control
  • Ability to influence and gain cooperation from partners outside a span of direct control. Including Sales, Customer Success and Renewals management who will provide input on needs and consume the outputs.
  • Ready to raise issues, concerns and recommendations to Sr. Management on the effective use of the communication products under management.
Communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Technical writing experience is a plus

Note: 
Base Pay Range 
Costa Rica
Base Pay:  20,000,000.00 - 27,500,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
