QA Engineer (Mobile)

  • - Hybrid Remote
As a Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in mobile applications, you will take the lead in developing and implementing QA automation strategies for iOS and Android platforms. Your role will be crucial in proposing innovative automation solutions, with a focus on utilizing Appium for test automation. As part of our Mobile Development team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and enhancement of automation practices within our mobile development lifecycle.
What You'll Get to Do
  • Lead Automation Efforts: Spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive QA automation suites using Appium, aimed at optimizing testing processes and enhancing the quality of our mobile applications.
  • Strategy Development: Propose and implement automation strategies that align with our mobile development goals, focusing on increasing efficiency, reducing error rates, and shortening development cycles.
  • Tool Integration: Evaluate existing testing tools and technologies, identifying opportunities for improvement and integration to create a more cohesive QA environment.
  • Collaboration and Requirements Gathering: Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and technical challenges. Help define clear automation requirements and technical specifications that align with business goals.
  • Technical Liaison: Serve as a key technical contact between the QA team and other departments, including Product Development and User Experience, to continuously improve the quality and functionality of our mobile applications.
Must-have Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ Years Experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years of experience in mobile application testing
  • Expertise in Mobile Automation: Proficient with Appium or similar mobile testing frameworks (e.g. Robot Framework, Espresso, XCTest).
  • Programming Skills: Strong coding skills in languages such as Kotlin , Python, or Swift, capable of writing scalable and maintainable automation scripts.
  • Experience with SauceLabs
  • Familiarity with Mobile Development Environments: Extensive knowledge of mobile development platforms, SDKs, and the mobile release process on both iOS and Android.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to articulate technical details and project requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.
Nice-to-have Qualifications
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Jenkins or CircleCI.
  • Knowledge of additional automation tools and frameworks that complement Appium.
  • Prior experience with performance and security testing for mobile applications.
  • Prior experience with test management software like TestRail
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and participation in Agile teams.
  • Understanding of the latest trends in mobile technology and testing, including cloud-based mobile testing solutions.

Base Pay Range
Poland
Base Pay: PLN 148,000.00 - 203,500.00 
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
