About the position:

We are seeking a Product Designer to join our design team based in Krakow, Poland. In this role, you will work in various areas across the entire Splunk product portfolio, collaborating closely with other design teams, Product Management, Engineering, and User Research to craft user-centered solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will have the opportunity to help influence design strategy, build end-to-end user journeys, and ensure consistency and excellence in user experience across our portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple products to deliver user-centered design solutions
  • Design seamless, cohesive experiences that align with our overall product vision and meet the needs of diverse user personas
  • Build user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for both new features and iterative improvements
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback in design critiques and collaborative sessions
  • Collaborate with designers across teams to drive alignment and identify opportunities
  • Distill and communicate technically sophisticated use cases into easily understood concepts and design solutions
  • Partner closely with engineering to ensure that design specifications are implemented
  • Partner with product managers, to solicit user input, and use it to craft product development efforts

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience in product design and UX/UI Design
  • Knowledge of Data Visualization interfaces, especially in a B2B environment
  • Understanding of design systems, and experience leveraging, and contributing to, design systems
  • Excellent visual design skills and a high-level understanding of visual solutions for all screen sizes
  • Master crafting prototypes to communicate sophisticated design concepts to users and project partners
  • Expert in using industry-standard design and prototyping tools (Figma, Miro)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in a remote environment
  • Experience collaborating with other designers and departments - you’re comfortable taking and incorporating feedback from other team members
  • A positive track record of handing off buildable designs to engineering teams
  • Not afraid of project or product ambiguity and willing to learn new skills
  • Degree in HCI or related Design program, or proven experience in lieu of degree

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience working in SaaS or enterprise software
  • Knowledge of statistics, data visualization, charting and data related storytelling
  • Experience in enabling highly technical users to quickly and intuitively analyze and get insights from data produced by a wide variety of services and devices
