Observability Engineering Specialist

Splunk, a Cisco company, is building a safer and more resilient digital world with an end-to-end full stack platform made for a hybrid, multi-cloud world. Leading enterprises use our unified security and observability platform to keep their digital systems secure and reliable. Our customers love our technology, but it's our caring employees that make Splunk stand out as an amazing career destination. No matter where in the world or what level of the organization, we approach our work with kindness. So bring your work experience, problem-solving skills and talent, of course, but also bring your joy, your passion and all the things that make you, you. Come help organizations be their best, while you reach new heights with a team that has your back.
What You’ll Do:
As a Solution Engineer for the Observability Strategist team you will lead and support creating a profitable business with the Cisco’s Observability portfolio founded on Splunk. Working with partners, team, and customers, you will be the subject matter expert on Observability and integrated solutions. You will become the trusted advisor for the observability industry and build long-term relationships founded on mutual success.
Finally, you will have the opportunity to work directly with Product Management, Engineering, Channels, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams across Cisco to share your knowledge and experiences to ultimately improve our business and our customers’ value.
This is a technical and business leadership role shaping the future of Cisco’s expansion into software by leading the Observability industry. Impact how Cisco presents technical value to the market. Provide feedback from customers and partners into product lifecycle. Coordinate and collaborate with several teams across Cisco and the partner community to align, focus, and succeed together.
Presenting to large audiences and to executive groups is part of the adventure. The ability to adapt the recipe of technical depth vs. business value based upon the audience is important. Create publications, post on LinkedIn, drive relevant buzz, share the momentum with your personal flare.
Who You’ll Work With:
We are an elite global team of Observability technical leaders that shape the industry in close collaboration with others, including our partners. We are a high trust, high engagement group that strives to overachieve together. We aim to build, create, and maintain a culture where we thrive as a group and deliver results sustainably.
Who You Are:
You are at the top of your game, top of your field, have been in the trenches and realized the opportunity to deliver transformational results for customers, partners, and Cisco. You understand that building trust and working as a team is vital to success. You thrive at the intersection of where technology improves business and people’s lives. You possess that unique recipe of technical, business, sales, and people skills that inspire others to invest time with you. As an inspired self-starter, you value the autonomy that comes with being great at what you do, while enjoying strategic support from leadership.
You include others, serve, and mentor as you lead. You are often the smartest person in the room relative to what we do and yet are always open to the perspective of others, coachable, and kind. Your gravitas is balanced between swagger and humility. You create connections and build bridges where possible. People that work alongside you are inspired by who you are as well as the way you work. You align closely with our Sales to strategize, create compelling value propositions, customize demonstrations, and win.
