Splunk is searching for a rockstar Field Marketing Director to be a part of the EMEA UKI growth journey, by planning and leading the execution of marketing programs, directly impacting the pipeline generation as well as strengthening our brand in the region. You have a demonstrated track record of managing and delivering marketing strategy and programs on time, and on budget. As we are a rapidly growing company, you will also be comfortable with changing priorities and responsibilities. Is it a match?
In this role, you will enjoy the best of two worlds with one foot in the UKI business team, and the other in the EMEA Marketing team. The role is strongly focussed on our marketing success aligned to sales success, if you have a background in sales that will definitely strengthen your case.
Keys to this position include; understanding how to implement measurable and impactful marketing strategies, motivating teams for success, managing projects from idea and creation through implementation and follow up, and having strong organizational and communication skills that allow you to communicate the value of your work to sales and marketing functions.

Key Responsibilities. I can and I want to do that.
  • Owner of, and accountable for, the UKI Marketing Strategy & Plan
    • Setting, influencing and executing the regional marketing plan with the purpose to drive, progress and convert pipeline plus strengthening brand awareness in the region, to attract and engage our target audience
    • Being the POC for all things marketing for the regional teams, working with marketing CoE teams to plan & implement.
    • Run the regional activity calendar to ensure optimal engagement and prevent fatigue from our target group
  • Pipeline Generation, Progression & Conversion
    • Driving rigor and accountability for the pipeline generation number towards target, and accordingly team up with sales to also progress and close this pipeline
  • Business Stakeholder Alignment
    • Hands on in, and accountable for, marketing planning aligned to the regional business needs,
    • Clear communication around follow up and measurements of programs & investments
    • Align with- and communicating plans and successes to key business stakeholders
Requirements
A passion for Field Marketing is a must. You understand the opportunities and challenges to successfully sell, market, and grow enterprise software, and are an expert at working collaboratively across organizations to bring multiple resources to bear for customer impact.
  • 5-7 years of experience, understanding, and a proven track record from, a similar, project based marketing role in a matrix environment in the enterprise software space
  • Strong working knowledge of the UKI market and its IT buyers, plus the ability to understand what is driving customer buying decisions and develop marketing programs and offerings that quickly identify new opportunities to grow the Splunk business
  • Well versed within data driven marketing and good experience working hands on with Marketo and Salesforce to execute demand generation programs and measuring their effectiveness, plus optimizing the follow up process and post event comms / visibility to sales teams
  • Project leadership skills with an exceptional attention to details and the ability to prioritize and manage a wide variety of marketing programs simultaneously, within budget and timelines
  • A teammate who has partnered with sales and marketing teams to align multi-channel engagement and execution
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional languages is an advantage
  • 2-5 years of experience of building and leading high performing marketing teams, especially under transformation. Experience leading geographically distributed teams is an advantage
  • Solution oriented personality with a can-do attitude

Note:

Base Pay Range

United Kingdom

Base Pay: GBP 113,600.00 - 156,200.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
