The Field CISO (Security Advisor) role will be instrumental in growing Splunk’s Security business. As a Field CISO (Security Advisor), you will play a crucial role in helping our customers strengthen their security defenses and leverage Splunk's platform to its full potential. You will work closely with clients to understand their security challenges, provide expert advice, and guide them in implementing effective cybersecurity strategies using Splunk solutions
Responsibilities:
Work at a strategic level with key customers to help them improve their security using Splunk.
Interlock and work with our Global Security Strategists to help identify, define and promote repeatable security use cases and deliver to the GTM strategy
Assist Sellers by providing expertise and guidance around the Security best practice and splunk’s solutions.
Act as a trusted advisor to the theater sales leadership (i.e.Area Vice Presidents/ Regional Sales Directors) on GTM account/execution progress, competitive trends and partner ecosystem developments.
Thought-leadership, provide content for, and speak at customer and partner meetings and events
Requirements:
5-10 years of experience in running and building security programs
Previous experience in a CISO or SOC Manager Role
Be able to demonstrate a consistent track record of use-case positioning with a “C” suite audience, supporting large and complex customer deployment decisions.
Strong executive presence and communication skills. Proven to be able to hold strategic and executive relationships with key personnel in cyber security domains.
This role will not carry quota, however will be on an MBO-based incentive plan with targets aligned to individual KPIs and overall theater targets for Security goals.

OTE Range
For sales roles starting salaries are expressed as On Target Earnings or OTE (OTE = base + on-target incentives in the form of sales commission plans).

On Target Earnings: AUD 264,000.00 - 363,000.00 per year
