Role Summary

Splunk is looking for a Director, Strategic Partner Marketing, who will be responsible for setting partner marketing strategy and ensuring its execution for strategic partners across all partner routes including and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and Systems Integrators (GSIs).
 
Focused on achieving marketing goals aligned to the business objectives and targets of the partner organization. Be the main marketing point of contact for the strategic partner sales team globally and regionally, internally and partner-facing, and working closely with the partner’s marketing teams to ensure alignment. What you'll get to do

  • Lead the team of strategic partner marketing managers and own the strategy and execution of the co-marketing plans for each strategic focus partner.
  • Drive the development of annual comprehensive marketing plans with strategic partners, while aligning with corporate growth and revenue objectives across multiple dimensions including partner awareness, partner enablement, partner demand generation and partner GTM readiness.
  • Be the single point of contact for all internal customers representing the needs and opportunities for strategic partners
  • Identify and evangelize opportunities for strategy alliance partner participation in Splunk thought-leadership, brand building, and demand generation programs and initiatives. Develop internal enablement materials for sellers passionate about why to work with strategic alliance partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate & product marketing, partner programs, product management, marketing ops, PR/AR, industry events, sales enablement, third party agencies, business/corporate development and sales to guide the strategy and execution of partner marketing and awareness programs.
  • Set the marketing targets and overall marketing performance goals, in alignment with the overall GTM goals/targets for all strategic partners. Track and report progress on key metrics, including regular readouts on the performance of partner marketing.
  • Participate in QBRs and conduct quarterly marketing reviews with key alliance executives (internal and partner) to review success/progress, identify gaps and maintain executive alignment and support.
  • Create alignment with integrated marketing and vertical marketing to elevate partner activations across key marketing moments for the business.
  • Manage and plan quarterly budgets for delegating on partner marketing programs.

Must-have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
  • 12+ years of relevant marketing experience with alliance and/or partner marketing and field marketing experience preferred
  • Excellent communications, project management, and organizational skills
  • Data-driven approach to continuously measure and evaluate impact and value, and eager to be willing to iterate programs as they grow
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage and grow teams and passion for bringing out the best in people.
  • Track record of being a trusted collaborator with the ability to interact clearly and concisely with customers, executives, marketing and sales – inside many departments and at all levels.
  • High integrity, while having a sense of mutual respect and mindfulness.

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $193,600.00 - 266,200.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $174,240.00 - 239,580.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $156,800.00 - 215,600.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
