As a Security Engineering leader, you will drive the design, implementation, and operations of platforms and services, for Infrastructure, Workload, and Cloud security. To be successful in this role, you'll need a proven track record of engaging with multi-functional engineering and product teams to deliver security solutions and services that are functional, secure, scalable and reliable. What you'll get to do
- Lead a team of versatile, world-class security engineers and managers working on delivering risk based security outcomes
- Drive all elements of our Security Engineering and be accountable for the outcomes
- Participate in development of stacked-ranked roadmaps and drive investment in critical security engineering initiatives
- Critical thinking and partnering across various product and security teams to drive security into all aspects of our infrastructure
- Establish a strong engineering culture
Must-have Qualifications
- Experience leading a globally distributed team of engineering (SRE, DevOps, or Security Engineering) focused managers and senior individual contributors
- Proven experience of cybersecurity engineering for cloud security, data privacy, workload and infrastructure security
- Experience in leading teams through compliance implementations
- Experience establishing and enforcing security policies, procedures and standards
- Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying and addressing cybersecurity risks to protect our critical assets
- Background in building scalable software systems and platforms
- Integrity, modesty and an insatiable drive to learn and grow yourself and individuals in your teams
Nice-to-have Qualifications

- University degree or equivalent certified education and experience in SRE, DevOps, or Security Engineering
- Solid technical understanding of Azure, GCP and AWS cloud providers and their capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of governance for regulatory and statutory frameworks
- Experience forming relationships across all levels of engineering, and product management teams

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $242,400.00 - 333,300.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $218,160.00 - 299,970.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $193,920.00 - 266,640.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
