The world's leading enterprises use our unified security and observability platform, with human-in-the-loop AI, to keep their digital systems secure and reliable. While customers love our technology, it's our people that make Splunk stand out as an outstanding career destination and why we've won so many awards as the best place to work. We want your whole, authentic self, what we call your "million data points". So bring your work experience, problem-solving skills and talent, of course, but also bring your joy, your passion and all the things that make you, you.

Do you have a passion for the impact marketing can have at every stage of the buyer’s journey and a focus on driving business outcomes through innovative marketing programs? Then this role is for you! We are looking for an experienced Director to lead our talented EMEA Corporate Marketing team with the aim of driving demand, customer engagement and awareness to support Splunk’s fast growing EMEA business. This pivotal role sits at the intersection of the EMEA business, and corporate and regional marketing teams, and leads the following functions: Digital & Campaigns, Customer Marketing, Content & Thought Leadership and Top Account & CxO Programs.

What you’ll get to do

  • Build the strategy and drive execution of the plan for our centralized EMEA marketing functions, ensuring alignment with country-level field marketing plans and accountability for results that contribute to the EMEA Plan of Record
  • Digital and Campaigns: Orchestrate regional marketing programs for Splunk’s security and observability go-to-market, including contact acquisition, lead generation and email and webinar nurture programs. This involves close partnership with our global integrated marketing team (campaigns CoE) to leverage global scale and layer on regional customisation as required.
  • Customer Marketing, Content and Thought-Leadership: Build customer advocacy and thought leadership strategy for EMEA, including local content creation and translation aligned to regional goals, as well as integrated regional activation around quarterly global thought leadership launches to drive awareness, demand and customer engagement.
  • Top Account and CxO Programs: Lead and evolve a set of programs designed to deepen intimacy with our most strategic customer accounts as well as establish and nurture executive relationships. This includes global and regional briefing programs, in-account marketing and a set of strategic events.
  • Act as the “voice of the region” into corporate marketing teams to influence global strategies and share feedback to optimize future programs
  • Lead, coach and grow a high-performing team of cross-functional marketers
  • Drive alignment with key stakeholders across the business, including global integrated marketing, corporate marketing, regional leadership and in-country marketing and sales teams
  • Own budget planning and day-to-day management, with a rigorous approach to getting value out of every dollar
  • Track critical success metrics, report on program effectiveness and look for ways to optimize programs

Must-have qualifications

  • 10 years’ marketing experience in the technology industry, ideally in B2B SaaS
  • 5 years’ experience of building and leading high performing teams, especially under transformation
  • A good understanding of the opportunities and challenges to successfully sell, market, and grow enterprise software, and experience working collaboratively across organizations to bring multiple resources to bear for customer impact
  • Project leadership skills with an exceptional attention to details and the ability to prioritize and manage a wide variety of programs simultaneously, within budget and timelines
  • A data driven approach to measuring success across demand generation, customer engagement and awareness
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional languages would be an advantage
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence and work with senior executives
  • Professional and energetic demeanor and ability to interact effectively with sales, marketing and other internal teams
