Data Engineer

  • - No Remote
  • We are excited to hire a Data Engineer with a Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, including 3+ years with DBT, and proven expertise in designing and implementing complex data transformation pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), with experience in performance tuning and debugging.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using ETL/ELT processes, and implementing cloud-based Enterprise data warehouse solutions.
  • Proficient in data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), version control systems (GitLab/Github), and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Deep understanding of data warehouse and data lake house architectures, with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with REST APIs for data integration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate closely with them to implement optimal data solutions.
  • Leadership experience, including providing technical guidance and support to junior data engineers, leading a small team (3-5 members), and fostering the adoption of new technologies in an Agile/Scrum environment.

  • Data Modelling Experience
  • Meltano Data Ingestion Experience.
  • Data governance project experience.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies. Especially in Snowflake/DBT would be nice!
  • Exposure to Matillion ETL tool.

Base Pay Range 
India
Base Pay:  1,840,000.00 - 2,530,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
