August 2024 Living Our Values Award Winners

Our values are the foundation of our welcoming, people-first culture. That’s why we’re proud to recognize five individual Splunkers and one Splunk team each quarter who truly embody these values. These special Splunkers have all been nominated by their colleagues for their commitment to exemplifying our values in all of their interactions! This award winner exemplifies the creation of better products, processes and/or ideas through diversity. They drive change & create something different and original within the organization.

Satoshi Yamamura

Sr. Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineering | Tokyo, Japan

Coworkers said Satoshi exemplifies the Innovative value through his exceptional problem-solving skills and creativity. When faced with the challenge of translating a vast number of Virtual Enablement Call videos into Japanese, he developed custom scripts to streamline the process of converting SRT (captioning) files into an Excel format and back, enabling efficient AI translation without the need for specialized software. His innovative approach not only facilitated faster translations, but also bridged the information gap for Japanese Splunkers, demonstrating a remarkable blend of ingenuity and dedication beyond his usual responsibilities.

This award winner demonstrates genuine enthusiasm, commitment and interest in Splunk’s products and people. They have contagious energy and inspire those around them. 

Amanda Crocker

Sr. Customer Advocacy Manager, Customer Advocacy | Florida, USA

Amanda has transformed our approach to customer storytelling. According to her team, Amanda’s unwavering energy and dedication were instrumental in transforming one customer’s story into a multi-channel success, including a prominent keynote at .conf24 and a compelling case study. Amanda’s remarkable ability to connect with customers and colleagues alike exemplifies the very spirit of passion that drives us forward.

This is an active participant who doesn’t accept the status quo. They are willing to ask the tough questions & strive for excellence in execution & quality. They understand that taking risk is a part of innovation.

Adam Ind

Solutions Engineer, Solutions Engineering | South Australia

Adam has demonstrated exceptional courage and innovation this quarter. When faced with a critical 8-hour platform outage impacting a major banking customer, Adam didn’t settle for the status quo; he took decisive ownership, challenged standard processes, and drove both immediate resolution and long-term improvements. His relentless pursuit of excellence and willingness to question and enhance our procedures have led to meaningful changes that benefit all our customers.

This award winner demonstrates strong collaboration to diverse points of view & ideas and the building of an inclusive culture. They approach thought process with transparency and provoke & welcome dialogue to reach the best outcome. 

Cordis Hall

Manager, Solutions Engineer, Global Shared Services | Arizona, USA

Cordis embodies the essence of inclusivity and transparency. As a manager, he went above and beyond by actively listening to every team member’s ideas and feedback, fostering a culture where diverse perspectives are not only welcomed but encouraged. His open approach is evident in his dedication to transparent discussions during team meetings and his patient, supportive guidance in tackling technical challenges. His commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every voice is heard truly exemplifies the Open value. 

Fun - The Roger David Carasso Award

This award is named for a beloved Splunker who passed away in 2015. This award winner brings humor and lightheartedness when work is intense. They build a sense of community with colleagues and foster an atmosphere of positivity. 

Tony Iacobelli

Sr. Manager, Advanced Response Team, Global Security Operations Threat Response | Ohio, USA 

We’re told Tony’s infectious joy and humor have become a cornerstone of his team’s culture. In the midst of high-stress cybersecurity incidents, Tony consistently lightens the atmosphere with his witty jokes, memes, and creative stickers, making even the toughest situations more enjoyable. His unique blend of fun, from Halloween displays to lively discussions about roller coasters and Skyline chili, fosters a positive, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and energized. 

Team Award

Travel & Expense - Led by Joy Anzinger

This team has consistently demonstrated exceptional expertise and responsiveness. Their extensive knowledge and dedication are evident in their prompt support and invaluable assistance with travel, expenses, and event preparations. Their tireless efforts – including managing large Global Field Enablement meetings and prepping Cisco onboarding – showcase their commitment to excellence and teamwork.
