Today, we are announcing the end of availability for a number of Splunkbase apps and add-ons. This announcement starts the clock for a 90-calendar-day end of support window. At the closure of this window, these apps and add-ons will no longer be available from Splunkbase, and Splunk Support will no longer be able to help debug the apps in question. The applications listed below lists the date of announcement and when the window ends.
The following lists of apps and add-ons are organized into four sections:
Splunk App for Okta
Announced: March 18th, 2019 Ends: June 16, 2019
In the transition of development to Okta for integrations, the Splunk App for Okta is being released under the Apache License and further development and support of the app will be halted. The app will continue to be available from Splunkbase until otherwise notified.
Splunk Add-on for IPFIX
Announced: March 18, 2019 | Ends: June 16, 2019
This application has been superseded by the Splunk Stream application and the functionality has been incorporated into it. Check out the Splunk Stream app here.
Splunk Add-on for NetFlow
Announced: March 18, 2019 | Ends: June 16, 2019

Splunk Add-on for Powershell
Announced: March 18, 2019 | Ends: June 16, 2019
As of Splunk Enterprise 6.3 powershell was bundled within core and the add-on is no longer needed to run powershell scripts.
Splunk Add-on for Cisco IPS
Announced: March 18, 2019 | Ends: June 16, 2019
In 2017 Cisco EoL’d the IOS IPS services and support. Since this technology is no longer developed by Cisco, we are no longer supporting this add-on.
Splunk Add-on for Akamai
Announced: April 8, 2019 | Ends: July 7, 2019
We have decided to end of life this application to focus our efforts on more important solutions for our customers.

Splunk DB Connect (version 2.x)

The 2.x release of DB Connect was released in 2017 and is being end of life’d. Splunk is continuing development on this product, however as of this announcement no more releases or bug fixes will be done for version 2.x. Development resources will be focused on version 3.x and later.
Splunk 5.x App for Active Directory
Announced: April 8, 2019 | Ends: July 7, 2019
Splunk Enterprise 5.x was announced as End of Life at .Conf 2017 and has been unsupported since November 30th, 2017. We are removing all splunk supported apps and add-ons built for 5.x.
Splunk 5.x App for Microsoft Windows
Announced: April 8, 2019 | Ends: July 7, 2019
