Splunk Attains IRAP Assessment at the Protected Level

SYDNEY– June 8, 2021 – Splunk Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLK), provider of the Data-to-Everything Platform, today announced the completion of the assessment against the Protected Level under the Australian Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP). Achieving accreditation brings the power of Splunk Cloud to Australian government agencies that are eager to remove the barrier between data and action and turn data into doing. 

IRAP is an initiative of the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) through the Australian Cyber Security Center (ACSC), designed to provide cyber security assessments on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services to government organisations. IRAP is also a recognised standard with robust security controls for cloud services in the private sector across Australia.

The successful completion of IRAP assessment  allows the Commonwealth of Australia and commercial customers required or seeking an approval to operate in line with the Australian Government Information Security Manual to use the IRAP security assessment of Splunk Cloud Platform in their independent risk assessment of their Splunk Cloud Platform deployment in Australia (AWS Australia region). With Splunk Cloud Platform, agencies can ingest and use data across their organisations and programs to address a variety of IT and security challenges.
