Digital Resilience Beyond Cyber Week
It’s not just the U.S. that participates in high-traffic digital shopping — Click Frenzy, modeled on Cyber Monday, takes place on an Australian e-commerce platform. Similarly, November 11 is a massive shopping event for Singles' Day in Asia. December 26th (Boxing Day) is well-known for dramatic price reductions throughout the United Kingdom and other countries.
It’s critical not to let anything slip. With a rapidly changing landscape, there’s more pressure to find and fix problems faster. This leads to both security and observability challenges:
- Slow and inefficient troubleshooting
- Limited visibility into customer experience
- Scaling to accommodate the increase in traffic
- More fraudulent orders
The good news is that you can prepare for traffic if you know traffic is coming. Then, once the traffic slows, you can scale down.
