Splunk Acquires Caspida

On July 9, 2015, Splunk acquired Caspida, a company that provides Behavioral Analytics to dramatically improve the ability to detect, respond and mitigate advanced security threats and insider security threats. The solution is based on machine learning, semantic classifications, kill chain detection, graph analysis and threat scoring. The transaction has closed.

Splunk’s acquisition of Caspida is aligned to our strategy of investments in and the expansion of our cybersecurity offerings. Caspida adds Behavioral Analytics, starting with user behavioral analytics (UBA) to Splunk’s security portfolio and expands Splunk’s ability to address a broader set of security challenges faced by our customers, including advanced threats, insider threats and fraud.
